‘Welcome to Washington DC’

Seen on the side of a market in Northeast DC. Unfortunately, there was no good way to photograph it, and a side view had even more clutter than this, with several smaller trashcans against the wall. The mural was commissioned by the District’s MuralsDC arts program in 2022 and painted by Kaliq Crosby.

Nice shot of this mural considering the items in the way. A Welcome mural shouldn't have rubbish and trash bins in front of it.

It is a lovely mural, and while it would be lovely without the clutter, somehow the clutter adds to the shot. I really like this image. V
