The Washington Navy Yard is the former shipyard and ordnance plant of the United States Navy in Southeast Washington, D.C. It is the oldest shore establishment of the US Navy and currently serves as a ceremonial and administrative center for the Navy.
If anybody is familiar with the CBS series “NCIS,” this is where their office is located, looking out on the Anacostia River.
