I realize it’s a famous church and popular tourist destination, but I’d find it a bit off-putting to enter a house of worship and see a “Tour Desk” and signs and lit up displays.
Construction started on St. Patrick’s Cathedral in Midtown Manhattan in 1858, and it was completed after the Civil War in 1878. The architect was James Renwick Jr., who also designed the Smithsonian Castle on the National Mall as well as what is now the Renwick Gallery.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly unsharp.
