They have been working on resurfacing our street for the past week, and they finally laid the new road the other day. From the dump truck pouring asphalt into a big paver, with workmen shoveling the stuff that fell out back into it, to the rollers that followed, it was quite the production. I was fascinated and standing on our wrought iron stairs, but the metal was vibrating so much, I had to go back inside. I went down into the basement, and it felt like the equipment was shaking the foundation of our house. Good thing they don’t have to do this very often!
