Miracle peony

The buds on our two peonies, both plants having undergone a drastic transplant two years ago, didn’t look too good this year, and I was afraid they wouldn’t actually bloom. Much to my surprise, the younger one, a volunteer, had two blossoms on it this morning. The other, older peony is still an open question.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

Coming in for a landing, posted earlier:

The color you have captured are so vivid and true. One of my favorite flowers and my wife's Chinese name is peony. v

Go Peonies! You can do it! I like how the leaves seem to swirl around the bloom, almost protecting it.
