So much for spring

It’s hard to believe, but it was 80F (27C) on Monday, and today it’s snowing. Temps will be in the 20s for the rest of the day and night, accompanied by high winds in the afternoon.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

Winter is being very peculiar everywhere. But you got a really beautiful shot, though it meant the end of the daffodils I guess, but what a pretty image. V

It's a very pretty image with the ice and water droplets. I've long forgotten what it's like to be in 20 degree weather. Brrrr. V

Oh dear - one sad looking daffodil although it does look pretty with an icy coat :) V

Poor daffodil. However, very nice capture that really shows how changeable this time of year can be. Good frosty detail on the top side of the flower with melt occurring at the same time on the bottom.

It was 78 degrees here before it snowed 2 days ago. Then, last night the tempts dropped the whole way down to a bone chilling 6 degrees. Brrrrr. Even so, the snow was already melting in the sun during the daytime; despite it never getting to above freezing yesterday or today. How weird!!! Tomorrow is supposed to be in the 60's. In a couple more days, we're supposed to see a high around 80 degrees with a low of 60. One week's worth of weather... Although a March snow was almost guaranteed, I don't remember experiencing such rapid & wild swings of temperatures when I was a kid.

We had 33 last night. Very cold for March for us! You sure got a lovely photo of the clash of seasons. V

Beautiful shot/image Helen. Count yourself lucky, we got six inches of the white stuff.

Beautiful photo even if it shows your fickle spring. We got about 6” (13 cm) of snow last night.

Nice frosty floral crazy swing in temperatures and a bit of snow with it.

It sure makes for beautiful shots. The problem is, trees and plants think it's Spring, so the buds open and then ... freeze and die. The cycle has to restart all over again, which retards Spring's burgeoning ... etc.

fantastic shot of the extreme weather love the bloom and the ice on the flower
