A new look for Christmas lights

The snowstorm finally stopped after dumping 8.5 inches on DC, but now they say more snow is forecast for Thursday, although it won’t be nearly as much. We ventured out to the supermarket today, and while the major thoroughfares are relatively OK, the smaller streets are definitely not. It was also a real challenge to negotiate the alley behind our house to get into our carport.

This picture was taken mid-storm on Monday after Tim pointed out the Christmas lights our neighbor had strung from his house to trees on the street. I thought they looked pretty cool encased in snow.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

Big section of tree down, posted earlier:

That string of lights caught my eye before I read your caption. Very cool indeed. I have to say, that's the best look for their front garden, covered by snow. V

PS: the Inuit language from the Artic have 26 different words for snow! Wet snow, dry snow, ice snow, crystal snow, powder snow etc. etc.
