I went back to what used to be a fabulous dahlia garden to see if there might be a late bloomer and found this one flower. I also took a closer look at the greenery and saw that where many dahlias had once been planted there were now small bushes. It looked to me like the homeowners had ripped out most of the dahlias to make way for the bushes, but missed a few, which I got in this and the three previous pictures. What a pity.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.
