Covert lizard

It was interesting to watch this lizard slipping under and then out from the bark of the tree.

*****

We’ve now been to the Kenilworth Park and Aquatic Gardens twice in the past month after keeping away during the worst (or the previous worst) of the pandemic. In addition to them being stunningly beautiful, it’s nice to see so many people there enjoying nature.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.

I am surprised that Jane doesn't know that there are lots of lizards in DC. I believe that most of them are invasive species.

Good for you you. These skinks are very wary and swift in disappearing. Hard to capture. V.

a peekaboo prowler then, likely searching for the termites at work on the tree....well done to catch it on approach..
