These lantana at the monastery make for the prettiest setting for bees and butterflies, although I guess I was more focused on the bee than the flowers in this shot.

We went to the Franciscan Monastery far up in Northeast DC to look for butterflies, but all we found were bees, mockingbirds, one skipper and a wedding party. I was afraid it might be too early for butterflies there, but it was a good excuse to enjoy their beautiful grounds in any case.
