Some of the lotus ponds were already finished, while others still had lots of flowers, but for some odd reason I couldn’t find a single lotus that was totally open. I thought maybe it was the wrong time of day for them, but I checked my pictures from several years ago, and we were there at exactly the same time in the afternoon, when many flowers were open. We may have to go back to get the shot I wanted.

We haven't been to the aquatic gardens for a year due to the pandemic so decided to pay a visit in advance of their very popular (meaning very crowded) Lotus and Water Lily Festival, which takes place next weekend. It was nice to walk around the grounds once again, although we might have been a bit early for some of the flowers.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by PBase are decidedly
unsharp.
