I had written before, with a picture of a bud, how our very old peony hadn’t bloomed for the first time ever due to a lack of sun (new fence), so we transplanted it into a large pot in the carport, where it gets sunshine almost all day long. I was excited when 10 or so buds appeared, and now they’re starting to bloom. I am amazed that it survived such a radical transplant after 20-30 years in the same spot and is thriving in its new home.

unsharp.
