Miracle peony: intermission

I had written before, with a picture of a bud, how our very old peony hadn’t bloomed for the first time ever due to a lack of sun (new fence), so we transplanted it into a large pot in the carport, where it gets sunshine almost all day long. I was excited when 10 or so buds appeared, and now they’re starting to bloom. I am amazed that it survived such a radical transplant after 20-30 years in the same spot and is thriving in its new home.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

Congratulations on the successful repotting- not always easy with old plants. Now it seems that you will be rewarded with lots of new floral subjects to shoot.

If you do it correctly it works out most of the time.
Amazing what a little bit of sunshine will do for a transplant.
