Cyclists in line

I didn’t know the Capitol Police had an entire squad of cyclists, but I guess it makes sense since the Capitol building and grounds are enormous.

*****

We went down to the Capitol today because I wanted a picture of it through the huge fence that's been erected all around it. I did get a few of those on drive-by, but then we decided to park the car and see what was going on there because the road in front of it was literally packed with police officers and vehicles. It turned out that the Capitol Police were there in force to attend the funeral procession of USCP Officer Brian Sicknick, who died of injuries sustained during the seditious attack on the US Capitol on January 6 after he was reportedly hit in the head with a fire extinguisher. His death was a tragedy, and I'm glad we were there to pay our respects as his hearse passed by.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly
unsharp.

The masks make seem even more frightening for some reason. Well documented. V

good POV to line them up supporting the scenes perspective...bikes offer excellent mobility in urban traffic too..
