Potato chip fan

Thanks to Tom Munson for another ID. Once again, I never in a million years would have thought this was a female red-winged blackbird, although I guess the red on the wings should have tipped me off. The bird had landed right in front of me with the potato chip in its beak, but I wasn't able to get a picture. Luckily Tim did later.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

What a great shot this is. Sometimes, as you are finding out, females and juvenile birds are so different in appearance that it seems impossible they are the same species as the males! V

Nice shot with the potato chip snack not sure if that would be good for her.
The female birds seem to get short changed often when it comes to colors of plumage.
