The pensive robin

Taken somewhere on Capitol Hill before the lockdown. I can’t wait to be able to roam around the neighborhood once again looking for birds, flowers and insects.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

The iris that keeps on giving, posted earlier:

Hilarious - like a grumpy old man sitting on a park bench.
Terrific photo, with great detail.

You must have a knack with birds. They let you get really close.

Excellent capture, it would be great to get outside again. Still Ive laid a new gravel path and borders and built a picket fence to the field.

Great sharp shot Helen. I always like how robins seem to be more cooperative when it comes to staying around and getting their picture taken. Not as flighty (no pun intended) as a lot of other birds I encounter.. ~V~

It does look pensive. I've always thought robins looked a bit angry with the frowning eyebrow.

Love the crisp focus on the head and the intensity of its stare.
