Tribute to first responders over DC

At noon today the Navy Blue Angels and the Air Force Thunderbirds flew over Washington, D.C., in a tribute to first responders battling the coronavirus pandemic. We thought about going to the park for a better view but knew it would be packed, as the National Mall reportedly was. Their flight path had been made public, but it was still unclear just which direction they were coming from. We saw them pass over Capitol Hill twice, and Tim managed to get this from our back deck. I missed the shot I should have gotten (but wasn't prepared because I couldn't tell which side of our house they were passing), but I saw and heard them!

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Great tribute. Glad to know that you shot them from your own yard & didn't go to the National Mall or an overly crowded park like so many others did. Tim got a really nice shot. They flew over downtown here a couple of days in tribute to those on the frontlines. I saw on the local news how people here broke quarantine to crowd together to watch or get a photo.
