The volunteer

I was amazed to see this peony bud in our backyard this afternoon. A volunteer peony showed up far from our established peonies two years ago but without producing any flowers. Suddenly there are two buds on the very small plant; I hope they bloom!

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

that is normal Helen gives peony flowers but after the second or third year, here is a healthy and strong plant, lovely image BV
