I don’t want to overdo it with pictures of the “Electronic Superhighway” (previous two pictures), but I took this specifically for Jeff Real, who lives in Oklahoma. It also illustrates how the artist found culture-specific TV broadcasts for each state: In this case, the movie “Oklahoma!” is playing, while above in Kansas it was scenes from “The Wizard of Oz,” and in Missouri, next to that, perhaps a 1973 movie about Tom Sawyer.

Home to the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery and American Art Museum, the Old Patent Office was constructed in 1838-1867 and encompasses two city blocks. The museums reopened after a major renovation from 2000 to 2006.
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
