Tale of the tail

I had mentioned that the dinosaur in the first picture of this gallery had an incredibly long neck (much longer than it looks in the picture) and tail. This was its tail, which stretched halfway across the exhibition hall.

The “dinosaur exhibit” -- as everybody calls it, although it’s much more than that -- in the newly reopened fossil hall at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of Natural History is fascinating.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Oh my! It must have been a chore keeping track of that trailing behind. The person in the frame helps me with the scale.
