On the challenges of photographing victory parades

I’m just posting this for fun to show how challenging it was to take pictures at the Nats victory parade. Tim, who is much taller than me, took this over the heads of the crowd. I couldn’t even see most of what went on until two very tall men kindly told me to move into the space in front of them. Then I could at least see the heads of people on the floats.

Also, I liked that Tim got the Nats’ mascots – Teddy Roosevelt, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln – who all run a race during the games. Plus, of course, the real mascot, the bald eagle beyond them.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Is that the Geico Gecko on there as well? I like the bald eagle with the happy expression. Glad you got to see the parade any which way.
