The nature expert on board the Osprey said this was a juvenile yellow crowned night heron. He was quite concerned that I wasn’t able to see it and went through a lot of trouble to point him out to me (to no avail), but Tim did see him and got this capture.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
