Crypt Church window

The Crypt Church may have been small, but it was quite beautiful.

Best to view in "Original" or “Auto” because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

*****

We decided to pay another visit to the basilica because we felt we hadn’t seen it all when we met Long and his wife Katherine there in April. It’s really a magnificent church that took almost 100 years to complete and draws visitors from all over the world. I’ll be posting pictures mainly of features we missed the first time around.

How lovely. Such unusually patterned glass in this marbelled corner, captured in evocative light. V
