We decided to pay another visit to the basilica because we felt we hadn’t seen it all when we met Long and his wife Katherine there in April. It’s really a magnificent church that took almost 100 years to complete and draws visitors from all over the world. I’ll be posting pictures mainly of features we missed the first time around.

I only caught part of this dome over the main altar the last time we were there; this is the whole thing. I think it's the most beautiful of the five major domes in the church.

Best to view in "Original" or “Auto” because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
