Maybe a silly picture, but I thought this marking on the flicker was spectacular. I wasn’t kidding when I said in the two previous pictures that it was posing.

Best to view in "Original" or “Auto” because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

Oh, this is a good one! The markings may throw off a predator, looking like the beak of a larger bird. Anyway, that's what came to mind for me. :)
