We stopped by Apple’s new flagship store in DC, which opened on Saturday. It’s situated in the former Carnegie Library (DC Central Public Library), a Beaux Arts building constructed in 1903 and restored by Apple. The place is gigantic and also houses the new DC History Center and research library, owned and operated by the Historical Society of Washington, D.C.
According to Apple’s press release, “Originally funded by Andrew Carnegie and opened in 1903, the library will once again be a center for learning, discovery and creativity for the community, keeping with Carnegie’s vision of a public and free space for all.”
Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
