On the way back to our car from the Tidal Basin, I was intrigued by this view of the US Capitol appearing to be next to and below the Washington Monument. The capitol building is located on a hill, although the monument isn’t really on that much of a rise.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.
