Hindu temple

Tim said his driver told him this Hindu temple was for Tamils, an ethnic minority on the island that was part of the civil war in Sri Lanka from 1983 to 2009.

The humidity must really be oppressive there judging by the color of the sky and the haze surrounding the tower in the distance.

Best to view in "Original" because other versions resized by Pbase are decidedly unsharp.

26 years of civil war! (I don't know why anyone calls a war 'civil') I'm glad the temple survived.
