Tim spent a couple of days in Baku, Azerbaijan, which shares a short border with Turkey but which I never visited during the eight years we lived in Ankara. After a very long flight back to Washington, he had to stop at the office – with his luggage -- for about four hours before coming home. He’ll soon be off to Honolulu.
