Everybody who came by our block was fascinated with a skull in my neighbor’s yard that made noise when you were close to it and then spit water on you. This dad was trying to get it to do its thing.
You’d never know it from all the goofy Halloween decorations, but my neighbor is a Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist for The Wall Street Journal.
