Lily

At 16 years of age, Lily is a member of the sanctuary’s geriatric herd.

There were only two cows out in this particular pasture, and guests were encouraged to pet them but were warned to limit themselves to behind the shoulder blades and to keep out of the way of those horns.

I didn’t like some of the other pictures I took of her (far too overexposed), but Lily was definitely keeping an eye on me with my camera pointed her way. It gives one pause when a one-ton animal is eyeing you so intently...
