Open-air art market, Tashkent

On to Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. Tim didn’t take as many pictures in the city, but there were still some interesting things to see.

I thought the shadow of the light was quite interesting. At first I thought it was drawn on the pavement.

Looks like a fine place to stroll and admire the wares. What an adventure. Isn't Tashkent on the old Silk Road? V

Surprising to see so much art on display. The lamp shadow looks like a bug :) V

Wow - that's a lot of artists at work !! I wondered about the shadow, but see the next lamp further down - very ornate for a street light !! Interesting that the tree trunks are painted white - they used to do that in Africa to prevent ants invading, I think.

Interesting street scene of the many artists displaying their work.
