Kazakh Eli monument

Luckily, Tim was able to take some pictures on the way to the airport in Astana. This one features the Astana Palace of the Arts at left, the Kazakh Eli monument at center and the Palace of Independence immediately behind it. Also some tiny pedestrians.

He’s now heading for Uzbekistan and will visit Samarkand on Saturday, a place I have always wanted to see. I’ll just have to enjoy it vicariously through his pictures!
