Taken at Roosevelt Island in the Potomac River, situated within the boundaries of Washington, D.C. It was far too dark in this area to get a decent picture of this brown-headed cowbird (and thus it’s very noisy), but I had never seen one of these birds before so was determined to get something. I also photographed a juvenile but accidently threw it away when I trashed most of the pictures from this day (because I just didn’t like them).
