Puffed up

There were a lot of geese and other birds resident at the sanctuary as well, although I doubt they were all rescued like the farm animals on the property.

An excellent article on the sanctuary, titled “If You Were A Farm Animal, Poplar Spring Animal Sanctuary Would Be Paradise” is here http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/10/28/poplar-spring-animal-sanctuary_n_4164441.html complete with videos and lots of charming pictures.

Nice sharp capture of this American Buff goose. It might be a rescue, farm geese have clipped wings which keep them grounded, so not good for living in the wild. V
