Bigger babies now

I’ve posted three new screen captures of the eaglets, taken within the space of a week, and what a difference a week makes! The babies are starting to look more like eagles now.

I wish the quality of the live camera feed were better, but it is what it is, and at least it provides an intimate glimpse into a bald eagle nest.

*****

The parents, Liberty and Justice, have a nest on police academy grounds by the Anacostia River, and two eaglets hatched between March 17 and 19.

Liberty and Justice built their nest in 2005 and have raised one or two young every year since.

The eagle cam feed can be found at http://www.eaglecam.org
