We took a drive to Piscataway National Park, located on the Maryland side of the Potomac River. There was a huge, unattended nest on a pylon (or whatever you call them) next to a fishing pier. After we left the pier to get a different perspective on the osprey below, this osprey flew back to the nest, but disappeared again once I got too close (which wasn’t close at all). In one of the pictures I took of her, a small brown thing looks like it’s jumping up, so I guess there was at least one baby in the nest.
