Common walls, East Capitol Street NE

One of a series taken after I got my D850 back from the shop, which had calibrated the lens. I’m hoping the calibration helps with some of the focus problems I was having with the camera.

Buz had mentioned in a previous picture how close the houses looked. They’re almost all row houses on Capitol Hill, so we’re literally wall to wall.

Ephesus, the Agora, posted earlier:

Within one closely packed group, multiple fascinating old architectural styles. A very nice contrast and compare image of these beautiful old homes. ~BV~

`Love how they all have their own style, something sadly lacking in a lot of contemporary urban developments.
A nice sharp image with lovely colours, V

My, what a wonderful image! Very colorful lineup of homes! The IQ looks great to me! Wow!

Looks very sharp to me. These houses have a lot of character. I like that they are not all neutral in color. Reminds me of row houses in SF. V

Excellent capture with spot on focus, Helen! I would imagine you would not have trouble hearing your next door neighbor having an argument..

Very lovely street nicely presented :))

I guess there was a time when I could get use to this again but after having my nearest neighbor 150 yards away for the past 18 years, it would be difficult. Lovely homes though and a beautiful, sunlit photo. Vote.
(I'll take the one with the cone roofed patio with the Mansard roof. Or the one to either side.)

Must keep in good shape negotiating their stairs!

Very pretty old houses, it's probably like in Warsaw Old Town, where the land was very expensive, people would afford for a small piece so they would build up high. V.
