I wanted to photograph the Christmas tree in front of the US Capitol and on the way there saw the US Botanic Garden (where my current “Roadside Attractions” gallery was photographed) all lit up for the holidays. It was the glass dome in the conservatory that caught my eye, but in order to get it, I almost had to jump in the Reflecting Pool in front of the Capitol for enough distance to see it.

I have no idea how the ISO got to 9000 because I sure didn't set it there, although it was so dark in the end maybe it was the only way to get the shot.
