Mosque of the Great Prophet in context

Mosque of the Great Prophet on the Corniche in Muscat, showing why it was difficult to get a picture of the entire building.

I started having some serious exposure issues with this camera on this very day, which led to me replacing it with a Mark 3 (which I disliked) and a Mark 4, which I still have. Too bad, the Mark 2 was a great camera while it lasted!

NOTE: I can view hardly any pictures on Pbase right now -- on two computers and two browsers plus my iPad. Will have to comment when I can actually see something, which at this point may not be any time soon.

Wonderful how the mosque, with it's wonderful blues, really stands out above the white buildings. Looks like a lot of traffic on that road!

a revealing view....the waterfront looks more sober and formal than in an Italian or Greek seaside town..
