Dismantling of the old Sellwood Bridge

In 2013, the old Sellwood Bridge was moved 33 feet and 66 feet north at either end to make way for a new bridge (pictured below -- click on it to see the original version). When we were back there in 2016, the new bridge was complete and the old one was being dismantled. The modern construction is quite functional, but I think it lacks the character of the smaller span.

Very cool and you don't often see pictures of this type of even in progress. Thanks for including the prior image before the dismantling started. ~BV~
