We stopped at Sauvie Island, situated 10 miles north of Portland, the largest island in the Columbia River and one of the largest islands in the United States. It was beautiful and a lovely place for a leisurely drive. Part of the island is a wildlife refuge, while the rest hosts rural agriculture and residential enclaves.
This has been greatly cropped and isn’t too sharp, but I liked seeing the whole family of osprey (thanks to Ton for the identification).
Sauvie Island flowers, posted earlier.
