Utilitarian

I posted a smaller door from this house a while ago because the building looked sort of ugly here, almost institutional, but when I was cleaning out this folder I realized I still liked this big gate, so here it is

I am torn between trying to post all my Saudi pictures (still a number to go, especially gates and houses) before we leave Riyadh for good three weeks from tomorrow, or just continue them while in the States. So perhaps it seems like I’m rushing a bit now, but for sure I’ll lose my desktop computer when the packers come next week, and processing pictures will become much more difficult on my laptop. FWIW.

I like the sleek modern design.

I actually like this a lot. I would ditch the big awkward globe light for something sleek. V

Interesting entry gate softened by the trees and lights. V.

Those gates pick up interesting colours and reflections - if it wasn't for them, and the palm trees, this place would look institutional ! V

That is an astonishing looking gate, especially in contrast to most of the others you have shown. Yet it has a beauty that I find appealing. V
Can't believe you will be gone from SA in three weeks!!!

Nicely composed with the two palm trees.

The gates almost blend in with the stone work.V
