We were getting ready to leave in search of the dunes again, but it was obvious Sahraa wanted to come. This was amazing because although she doesn’t put up a fight to get in the car now, since she understands we can go fun places like parks, she has never simply decided she wants to go for a car ride. So she came with us, and we thought since she’s a Kuwaiti desert dog, being in the desert might remind her of her roots. She didn’t much like the sand, though, and kept licking her paws.

She was, however, a star attraction, and people kept stopping and gawking at her, sometimes asking questions, then with everybody in the car waving at her, finally driving away.
