The bee man

This was a most bizarre scene, taken in the Al Bahah marketplace. The man in the picture at right is the same person selling honey at left. Makes me nervous just to look at it!

I just found out from a notification to US citizens here that media reports have alleged that terrorist attacks were aimed at this festival, although the authorities have reportedly thwarted the alleged attack plans. Good thing we went when we did, because we wouldn’t be able to go now…

Prayer time at Al Bahah, posted earlier.

What a peculiar thing! Not recommended for the average person! But fascinating to see this and to see him without his bees. Is the honey local? I can't imagine there are enough flowering plants for the bees? V

This is a stunt beekeepers like to put on at country fairs - I will pass tho ' !!

Instead of wearing a bee veil for protection, he wears a veil of bees! (after covering himself with queen pheremones, which cause the bees to be docile)

Tout à fait impressionnant et je n'essayerai pas, une très belle observation! V

Great and fascinating candid, looks rather scary at first sight but the man knows to deal with this by his expertise. V

A very strange atmosphere on this image. I cannot refrain from drawing a parallel between the women wearing the veil and this man with whom bees try to cover the face. There would be many things to meditated on this matter. V.

the bees make a great hair style and I expect he knows exactly what he is doing; maybe dangerous if anyone else panics
