My surreal view

I can hardly believe it, but I’m back in the hospital again. I had some adverse reaction from the splint (or whatever it’s called) they put on my foot after the surgery on Thursday, and it got so bad Friday night we decided to go to the emergency ward, after which they admitted me for possibly three days. They thought I might have an infection in the soft tissue of my foot, but now it looks more like an allergic reaction to the antiseptic or the gauze.

The head nurse – a very impressive woman who I really enjoyed talking to -- visited me today to get my opinion on the service from the caregivers and suggested I be moved to a better room. Now I have a huge window with a view of the mosque across the street as well as some of the buildings I have photographed around Riyadh.

Tim took this sort of surreal panorama of the view from my room along with some very unusual looking cars.
