Las Arenas

I thought I had photographed a bullring, but on further research, I see it has been repurposed as a shopping mall, although the façade does date to 1900. I did catch a glimpse of a real, very exotic looking, bullring, La Monumental, but we couldn’t go back to see it closer up. Just as well since I understand bullfighting has been banned in Barcelona, anyway.

We visited Barcelona in 1967 and saw the popular bull fighter El Cordobes at this arena. It was not something I enjoyed and am glad to hear it has been banned. I get no pleasure from watching animals being killed. Thanks for capturing this sight. Voted.

A nice view. Glad to hear bullfighting was banned in Barcelona. Sounds like there is progression in the toe saga. I sure hope you get back on your feet soon. I know it must be frustrating. Happy New Year to you and Tim.
