Nobel Peace Center, 'Censored'

I thought we hadn’t gone inside the Nobel Peace Center because there were no interior shots for the day I photographed the exterior (previous image), but we must have gone back another day.

This was a fascinating display about freedom of the press, especially since I was living in Budapest at the time, and all the censored newspapers are Hungarian. They could have the same display about Turkey these days, where the newspaper I work for is headquartered…

The Nobel Peace Prize has become a joke and is used for political statements. It was like when Obama received one and everyone asked , "For what?" Nice to see some local action! Voted.

A very eye-catching protest. And, of course, there's always self-cenorship as well. V
