Wadi Hanifa: Unexpected residents

We drove quite a ways into Wadi Hanifa, which is 120 kilometers long and runs through the city of Riyadh. There were some large properties with houses in the beginning, but the further we went, the sparser civilization got, although there seemed to be a lot construction going on in the middle of nowhere.

These were the first camels I had seen in Riyadh other than at the camel souk, taken from quite a distance, unfortunately.
.
One of two gates on a property in the wadi that seemed to have nothing on it but a long wall, posted earlier:

Guess the desert is still a mysterious place, interesting to see how things are done here. Fascinating shots. V
