Sadly leaving Fes and its medina behind, we spent a large part of the day traveling to Erfoud, an oasis town in the Sahara Desert, passing through an amazing variety of landscapes on the way.

We stopped at a lake that seemed to be very popular with locals, offering boat, horse and donkey rides to visitors.
